My name is Pat Price (NMLS #1036017) and I’m a Mortgage Banker at Movement Mortgage, based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. I created the Raleigh Mortgage Blog to give current insights on the Raleigh Real Estate Market, provide information on the latest down payment assistance programs, and to post as much information as possible that will help make the home buying process as simple as it can be.
I am licensed in North Carolina and Virginia and am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have lived in Raleigh since 2002, and am a lifelong North Carolinian. I am also an inactive Realtor.
In my free time, I’m quite involved in the running community. I’ve run multiple marathons, with a personal best time of 2:55 at the 2010 Boston Marathon. I’ve done a bit of writing, including a popular piece on a cheating marathoner (that was adapted into a full blown investigation in The New Yorker). I’m also the race director for the Sir Walter Miler, a local event that was called the “best glimpse of future growth for American track” by Sports Illustrated. Outside of the office, you’re bound to catch me running at Umstead Park, ridding my bike along the Capital Area Greenway, homebrewing with friends, or out at the movies with my wife.
I’m always happy to help with any questions you have about Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA, Jumbo, Refinance, and Renovation loans. Feel free to contact me at any time via email or by phone 919-260-8013. I look forward to working with you!
